Vintage Cellar's Review:
"Rooty, spicy and baked on the nose, with aromas that lean towards raisin. The palate is more gritty and acidic, with raisin, cola, and spic flavors. Darkens up on the finish, which is long and peppery, with adequate juiciness and a final note of tomato."
My Review:
Mmm, a masking raspberry aroma, almost candy-like. Very mellow and silky on the tongue. Dry and medium bodied. After asking for another tasting I did pick up on the peppery flavor, which was followed my a sweet finish. Overall, a good balance of sweet and spicy.
Tasted without food.
